A Conversation Between Teachers

This afternoon I had the opportunity to do something I never imagined when I first sat down to write Anywhere But Here—my first radio interview.

The interview was with Brandon Vogt on KKOB Radio. Brandon and I taught together for years, so what could have been an intimidating interview instead felt like a conversation between two educators. We talked about Anywhere But Here, the journey from idea to publication, and my upcoming book signing at Page One Books this Sunday.

It’s amazing how a dream evolves. A story that began on my computer eventually became a published novel. Today, it became the subject of a radio interview.

Moments like this remind me that writing has never really been about selling books. It’s about telling stories that connect with people. Every reader, every conversation, every review, and every opportunity to share this journey is something I’m deeply grateful for.
